The Census is coming - play your part in planning the future for your community
Census letters started dropping through letterboxes last week.
The Census provides the best picture of the population of any national survey. The data produced by it is used for the next ten years to set policy, plan developments and provide the services that the local area needs.
"The data produced is used to plan everything from the number of schools and teachers to waste bin collection." said Andy Howlett, Census Engagement Manager for South and East Lincolnshire and North East Leicestershire. "The Census provides an accurate picture of the area from housing need to hospital and health care. It is essential for the local area that we get the most accurate and full picture we can so everyone should complete the census, either as part of a household or as an individual."
