Changes to 2015 Local Flood Risk Strategy - Leicestershire County Council
Residents are invited to complete an online survey about proposed changes to the 2015 Local Flood Risk management Strategy, as well as being able to offer comments about any incidents of flooding, affecting personal property or more widely in Leicestershire.

Forbidden Forrest
The Forbidden Forrest festival will take place on the Belvoir Castle estate on 2nd - 4th June 2023.
The Parish Council has been offered 25 complimentary day tickets for the festival. If you would like to put your name down to receive free tickets please contact the Clerk using the details at the top of the page. Please note, we can only distribute tickets to residents who are 18 years or older.

Temporary Traffic Regulation Order - Barkestone Lane
Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.
A road closure is required on Barkestone Lane for approx. 100 metres outside the STW pump station facility on the 22nd of May for 3 days.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order has been implemented for public safety, so Severn Trent Water can undertake trial holes investigations.

Co-option to fill uncontested vacancies on the Parish Council
Congratulations to Anne Ablewhite, Bob Bayman, Leigh Donger and Bob Sparham who were all re elected as Parish Councillors after an uncontested election.
There are now 5 vacancies on the parish Council and, in accordance with The Representation of the People Act 1985 s21, the Council can now fill these through co-option.

Bottesford Electric Car Club Survey
The average petrol/diesel car produces 170g of CO2 per km. However, a battery vehicle emits around 51g CO2 per km!!
