Residents invited to try out free activity sessions throughout Melton

Melton Sport and Health Alliance, which is led by Melton Borough Council, are inviting residents to get involved by joining a Let's Get Moving Melton event on Sunday 21st August 2022 at Wilton Park.

Let's Get Moving Melton aims to encourage residents to "move more, more often", by introducing suitable physical activity opportunities in the borough.

EMERGENCY TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER - Barkestone Lane

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

An emergency road closure is required on Barkestone Lane from the 15 th June 2022 for up to 21 days but it is hoped that the repair will be completed within 3 days.

Temporary Traffic Regulation Order - Station Road to Beacon Hill Bridleway

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

A footpath closure is required on the Bridleway from Station Road to Beacon Hill on 14th June 2022 for 1 night (22:30hrs – 05:30hrs).

A52 - Safer Junctions

The proposed safety upgrades to the A52 throughout our parish do not go far enough to improve road safety for all users.

The Parish Council Road safety Advisory Committee is encouraging residents to contact our local MP to ask for her support in this matter.

Bottesford Household Waste Site to Reopen Next Month

The household waste and recycling site in Bottesford is set to re-open next month for the first time in around a year.

Confirmation of the Dates of the Period for the Exercise of Public Rights

Each year the Council's Annual Return is audited by an auditor appointed by the Secretary of State for Communications and Local Government. Any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the accounts to be audited and all documents relating to them.
